Its been a while since I participated in an exhibition, due mainly to my cautiousness about Covid and crowds. I think I'm overcoming that fear now and am excited to be joining a textile group "Embracing Wool" as a guest artist at a most beautiful venue in North Yorkshire.
"Embracing Wool" is a group of textile artists who came together through their love of working with wool, each member working in a different way. I am thrilled to be joining them in May exhibiting my miniature sculptural vessels, many of which are incorporating beach finds such as driftwood and seaglass.
The venue is the Richardson Conservatory at Scampston Hall North Yorkshire. The conservatory is surrounded by beautiful gardens which should be glorious at this time of year. It would be lovely to see you there, you will be able to view our textile art, view demonstrations and chat to the artists over the days of May 31st to June 4th. The work of course will be available to purchase.
If you click on the highlighted text here it will take you to the "Embracing Wool"site and "Scampston Hall and Gardens"site. Thanks for reading my blog, this is a newly revisited section on my website which I hope to update regularly with feltmaking tips, info and events.
